Christo and Sophel Hydronic Boilers

What are the Sophel and Christo Hydronic Boilers?
These units are wood fired hydronic boilers – designed to heat a lot of hot water that can be used for Inslab Heating or Radiators (or a combination of both) The difference is these are designed to be a feature in your home
-
Two Models to Choose From – Both heat 80+m2
Both these units – The CHRISTO & the SOPHEL look exactly the same – in fact they are…the only difference is their performance
-
The Christo Options Available
The Christo is available in so many performance options. Dry (not hot water) – or this can be made to suit pretty much any hot water output you need from 5kW up to 20kW of hot water for multiple radiators
-
The Sophel 30+kW of hot water
The Sophel 30 is the largest in its field – with 30+kW of hot water, perfect for the largest home
-
Packed with Features
These boilers have been designed to be a feature in your home – with large glass doors that can lift up (optional) to turn your boiler into a romantic open fire
-
Massive Firebox
To produce the amount of heat these units do, you need to feed the firebox with the amount of wood to do this – and these units have a MASSIVE firebox
-
Make your Boiler a feature
The large glass doors offer an additional 80+m2 of radiant heat to heat your lounge room
-
Optional Double Sided
Divide your room using your Sophel or Christo boiler with the optional Double Sided unit
-
How the heats..
The Sophel offers both radiant heat through the large glass door, enough to heat approx 80M2 and by installing this unit into a cavity, you can create and capture the excess thermal mass heat from this unit and release it slowly through built in vents. The different size wet backs then heat water that can be used for hydronic heating (pumping hot water through radiators or in-slab)
-

-
How to set all this up
Before you buy a wood Boiler, you need to work out not how many radiators you need, but how much heat it will take to heat your home – at Pivot we offer a free service to do this for you; this way you can make sure you are buying the right size boiler for your home
-
Installation
A purpose built cavity is built for these units. These required a full Non Combustible Cavity from either Hebel or Brick
-
Our Review…
As a boiler, there is nothing on the market to compare to – but as for performance, these are boilers, not wood heaters, and the glass can blacken up a lot. The door is easy to use and slides up effortlessly – and the firebox is designed to fully load up for full heat out-put.. Our score is 8/10
-
Made in Australia
